diving.DE Rabac in Croatia is sold
The diving.DE Group informs that the location Rabac, Croatia has been sold and will start the year 2025 with new owners. The current owners, who have been looking after diving.DE Weissensee in Carinthia and diving.DE Rabac for the past three years, will no longer be able to cope with the double workload in the future. Pauli, one of the three owners, is leaving the diving industry and returning to his IT job. The two remaining owners, Mimi and Basti, will not be able to look after both diving centres with just the two of them.
Bita’s Journey: A Stranded Franciscana Dolphin in Uruguay

Rio Grande, Brazil – The critically endangered La Plata dolphin (Pontoporia blainvillei - also called Fransicana dolphin) is one of the world’s most threatened small cetaceans, making every rescue a vital step toward securing the future of the species. On November 9, 2024, a neonate female Franciscana dolphin was found stranded on La Coronilla beach, Uruguay. Just a few days old and in critical condition, she was named Bita and has since become a symbol of resilience and conservation success.

For years, the following regulation has applied to liveaboard boats in the Red Sea: each boat must have two captains, two mechanics and crew on board. The entire crew must undergo special training in Alexandria and pass the course. All providers and thus every liveaboard boat has always had to comply with all these regulations (in theory).

Huish Outdoors without distributor in Germany and Austria: As we have learned from Huish Outdoors dealers, the cooperation between Liquid Sports and Huish Outdoors will end at the end of February 2025. In the circular sent to all dealers, February 2024 is indicated – but we suspect that the year 2025 is meant due to the sending date: 9.12.24.
