App update in five languages! Following the mass death of crown-of-thorns starfish in the Mediterranean in spring 2023 and subsequent losses in the Red Sea, the citizen science portal Dive4Diadema was launched – supported by many dedicated people from the diving industry.

Scubago Premieres at boot Düsseldorf 2026

With its official launch in January 2026, Scubago, the new global portal for dive centers, is presenting itself at boot Düsseldorf. Scubago offers dive centers and resorts a platform to promote courses, dive packages, and events. Travelers can discover dive offers worldwide and book directly with the dive center. In addition, users benefit from extensive travel content: with verified descriptions of over 10,000 dive sites, 150 wildlife pages, more than 1,000 destinations, and over 4,000 participating partners, Scubago launches with a strong foundation.

Crystal clear waters in the heart of Italy

Anyone who has ever dived in the beautiful Lake Samaranger knows what it means to dive in a clear lake. I would never have thought that this could be topped until I saw the pictures from Lago di Capo d'Acqua. A small lake with a sunken mill in the middle of Abruzzo, and thus also in the center of Italy, fascinated me immensely.

Wreckdiving on Cyprus: The Zenobia

The Zenobia is considered one of the most impressive wreck dives in the Mediterranean and attracts divers from all over the world to Cyprus every year. The Swedish RoRo ferry sank in 1980 on her maiden voyage off the port of Larnaca after problems with her ballast system. Today, the approximately 172-metre-long wreck lies on her port side at depths ranging from about 16 to 42 metres and is remarkably well preserved.

World’s Largest Cog Found off Copenhagen

The maritime archaeologists excavated the ship at a depth of 13 meters in a shipping channel called Svælget, between Amager and Saltholm. Named Svælget 2 after the shipping channel just outside Copenhagen where it was found, the ship dates to the early 15th century and offers rare insight into the scale, ambition, and technical sophistication of northern European seafaring during the Middle Ages.
