Manta Ray Bay Hotel Yap

Große saubere Zimmer, mit einem Spa Bereich der viele Behandlungen anbietet. Mit dem angeschlossenen Tauch-Center (es werden auch Schnorchel- und Kajak Trips angeboten) und dem Restaurant wird das eine runde Sache. Auch Landausflüge werden angeboten. Das Personal immer hilfsbereit und sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück ist Continentales werden aber alle Sorten Eier angeboten.

We were from 11.08 to 18.08 at the Manta Ray Bay resort and had unforgettable days there In total we made 12 dives with wonderful encounters. Highlights were, of course, the manta rays in the Goofnuw Channel and many white tip reef sharks in the Shark City

It was great on Yap and MRB made a big part of that!

However: one little thing is to be mentioned: We had the Queen Angel Fish Room with the rooftop Jaccuzzi.
BUT: The water was not cleaned before we came in the room and was not cleaned throughout the week. I think it even „flipped“ to be bad during our stay, so we could not use the Jaccuzzi anymore on the last two days of our stay. That was the only negative thing, I could see.
Staff however (reception, maids, bar, restaurant, guides, diveschool etc) were all extra ordinary helpful and nice. Food was gorgeous and we definetly will recommend the MRB!

Dive school itself was great, clean, big freshwater basins for rinsing (cameras etc seperately of course) and they even had Camera tables for working on the equipment with lights, powerplugs (US/110V and EUR/230V!!!) we had own gear, but the rental ones looked in good shape. Briefings were good enough and boatrides short enough.

And Detlef (head of F&B): Please arrange the menu a bit more towards Europeans with healthy food and out of that not always same kind of fish for example. Even though it was delicious, but we would have loved to get more variety throughout the week...

We want to thank lakerocker for taking the time to make this report and we are glad that overall, things were good. We also take the concern about the water in the Jacuzzi very seriously and have taken steps to insure that every future guest will have clean water. Our only wish would have been that the guests contacted us while they were here so that this could have been corrected immediately to insure full use of our best room in the resort. Our maintenance people are on duty 24/7 to immediately fix/repair/correct anything reported and it’s a shame that this didn’t happen in this case.
