I guess this is the first review about a Diveshop in Samal Island. This island is located in the gulf of Davao,around 1hr traveltime from Davao Airport. Dont worry about the fact that you are in Mindanao. Davao and its provinces are absolut safe and no danger for Foreigners to go there.
Samal Water Sports is operated by a belgian guy who also rent out some nice cottages beside his house. You can book a whole package with diving,transfers and everything else. Since he have a partneship with Precious Garden Resort you can also get rooms there. The new build diveshop is direct at the beach beside the resort. The Diveboat is big and spacious and the rental equipment brandnew(Cressi). We went for several dives around samal island and it was stunning. Im already a littlebit picky when it comes to diving but this place was great.Hard and Softcoral,lots of macro,Walls,Caves and drift dives. Food on the boat is great and always a well stocked Icebox available. If you want to see something new in the Philippines just go there. I will come back for shure.
