Eurodivers Maldives offer scooters and scooter courses
Diving with an underwater scooter is like flying through space. The Maldives is known to have some of the best channel and Thila diving. If you are looking for new adventures on your next diving holiday with us, add a scooter into the mix, and you are right on course for an experience like never before.
Your legs can only take you so far, but with an underwater scooter (also known as Diver Propulsion Vehicle – DPV) you can enjoy easy diving every time. The DPV gives you the chance to explore places normally not possible in a short amount of time, buzz around a large wreck or Thila to enjoy its panorama view and conserve air by swimming effortlessly. What’s more? With some nice current, while the other divers stay on the reef, you could easily keep up in the current and go further into a channel crossing. With a bit of luck, you will find some sharks’ action, eagle rays, and a school of jacks. So, pull the trigger, and let the fun begins.
If you’re at least 12 years old and certified as an Open Water Diver or higher, you can choose to dive with it for fun or get the PADI Diver Propulsion Vehicle certification. This specialty course is available at Club Med Kani, Kurumba, LUX, Meeru and Vilamendhoo. You will learn how to maintain your DPV, plan the dives including procedures for staying with your buddy, DPV-handling skills and practice some fun skills too!

Euro-Divers Kurumba
Euro-Divers Kurumba is located just 10 minutes from Velana International airport and right on the North Male Atoll diving hotspot. The protected lagoon in front of the dive center is the perfect place to start your diving adventure. With 30 dive sites, surrounded by some famous dive sites like Banana Reef, Okobe Thila, Nassimo Thila, Chicken Island, Maldives Victory Wreck, and Lankan Manta Point in search of Manta rays during the season. Suitable for all levels. Thila diving is one of the most characteristic dives in the Maldives. This pinnacle swept by currents offers abundant marine life.
