Traunfall: Diving adventures in new waters

Exciting dives still possible despite construction work

Due to construction work at the Traunfall power plant since August of this year, there are restrictions on diving and snorkeling on the banks of the Traun River. The construction work requires a temporary restriction of operations, but alternative diving opportunities are still available.

In addition to the well-known Scubing Tour 3 (5000-fish tour), there is a new offer to replace the currently closed Scubing Tour 1. This replacement tour has been specially designed to give guests an unforgettable diving experience despite the construction work. The tour is completely unaffected by the construction work and can almost always be offered (except in the event of severe flooding). “We are delighted to be able to continue offering our customers exciting snorkeling trips, even though the conditions have changed,” explains Franky Pramendorfer, owner and manager of the diving center.

In addition, a new diving area has been discovered above the construction site, which is ideal for river dives. The route is comparable to the LongTrail and also offers a drift dive. The sunbathing lawn and the diving area previously used will not be accessible during the construction period, which is expected to last until April 2028.

Please note: During the construction period, diving and snorkeling in the KW Siebenbrunn area is completely prohibited for safety reasons.

A sauna and a heated lounge with a bar area shorten the waiting time between dives. Covered tables and lockable lockers, changing rooms, and a hot shower in the outdoor wet area are a matter of course.

Two dive buses and an electric boat take divers to various entry points and bring them back to the center from the various exit points.
