September 29–October 3, 2025, at Omnisub
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced underwater photographer, this workshop with renowned underwater photographer Wolfgang Pölzer has something for everyone. Each day is organized around a specific theme and includes theory, guided dives, and image reviews.
You are free to choose whether you want to participate on all four days or just one. Each day has its own photo-specific theme: theoretical basics, macro, wide-angle and wreck photography – there is something for everyone.
Course content & schedule:
Day 1: Basics of (underwater) photography – aperture, shutter speed, ISO, depth of field
Day 2: Macro photography – flash positions, lenses, lens attachments
Optional: photography tips for night diving, including a night dive
Day 3: Wide-angle and people photography – landscapes & staging your buddy
Day 4: Wreck photography – getting wrecks in the right light
Day 5: Post-processing with Lightroom & Photoshop (optional)
Prerequisites: Your own underwater camera that can be switched to “manual mode” – i.e., you can set the aperture and exposure time yourself. An external flash is desirable but not essential.
