Pico Sport offers multi-day tours from Santa Maria
Due to the current very good weather situation and an excellent forecast for the next weeks Pico Sport has decided to extend the (diving) season until the end of October. The dive trips will start from the southernmost island of the archipelago - Santa Maria. Therefore Pico Sport has moved its boats Blue Bay and Narobla from Pico to Santa Maria.
The new offer is aimed at all those who have a desire for big fish, because a larger group of whale sharks has been in the waters off Santa Maria for some time. Diving at the Formigas or in a marine park with pelagic fish and with some good luck even chances to see Galapagos sharks are further highlights which can be expected in the great diving areas in the southern end of the Azores archipelago. Due to the southern location of Santa Maria the weather is up to six weeks better than on the islands in the north.
The offer includes multi-day tours from Vila do Porto (arrival via Lisbon and Santa Maria) with the liveaboards Narobla and Blue Bay. During the tours, the mainland is always approached in the evening. Included are half board and sleeping in the master cabin or double cabins. The offer can be booked via Diving World (NL), Wildwater (B), Tourmare (GER) or directly at Pico Sport (whales@gmx.net).
Entry Azores via Lisbon: Travelers need a current Corona test not older than 72 hours at departure at the home airport (alternatively taking a smear (test) at entry is also possible with a following 24 hours quarantine until the test result is available - this option is free of charge). After 6 days it is necessary to do another test (free of charge) at the Health Center Drive-In. Pico Sport will of course assist you at any time.
