Fully Prepared and Inspired

Cyprus, the sun-kissed island in the eastern Mediterranean, delights divers all year round with warm, crystal-clear waters and impressive visibility. As early as May, the water temperature rises to a pleasant 20 °C, and in the height of summer you can expect up to 30 °C. Autumn is a real insider tip as well: September still feels like midsummer, October offers around 25 °C, and even in November the water remains above 20 °C.

From the coasts between Protaras and Ayia Napa in the east to the regions around Pafos and Polis in the west, Cyprus’ underwater world is diverse and spectacular. Thanks to an excellently developed road network, you can reach the dive sites quickly and easily. Once on site, you either enter the water directly from shore or head off on your next adventure after a short boat ride.

For an initial overview, it’s worth taking a look at the informative PDF brochure “Diving in Cyprus” – it provides an excellent summary of the most exciting dive areas and also offers useful general information about Cyprus:

You can find even more impressions, photos, videos, and detailed descriptions of the dive sites on the official website of the Ministry of Tourism at www.visitcyprus.com.

Particularly impressive are the interactive 3D models – perfect for virtually diving into the underwater world in advance. Discover, for example, the world-famous Zenobia wreck or the MV Elpida near Larnaca, whose cargo hold offers great swim-through opportunities.

Another highlight: the video clip of the MUSAN underwater sculpture park in Ayia Napa. The footage shows some of the 96 artworks shortly after their submersion – today, many of them are already overgrown and offer fascinating new perspectives.
