A new destination for diving enthusiasts from all over the world
The island of Aphrodite in the eastern Mediterranean is increasingly becoming a top destination for diving enthusiasts from all over the world. The reasons for this are manifold and clear: pleasant water temperatures all year round, super visibility, artificial as well as natural reefs and of course spectacular wrecks along the coast.
Water temperatures around Cyprus vary between 16°C and 27°C all year round, so the island has a very long diving season. Very good visibility can be expected due to the lack of plankton in the waters around Cyprus. It should also be mentioned that the waters around Cyprus are among the cleanest in the entire Mediterranean.
There are several highlights for divers off the coasts of Cyprus: the underwater sculpture park MUSAN by the British sculptor Jason deCaires Taylor has become a popular destination for divers and snorkellers. Many wreck dives, from simply relaxed to challengingly spectacular, can be experienced along the coast. And not to forget the varied flora and fauna of the eastern Mediterranean.
In addition, the island is easy to reach, has an excellent infrastructure and also has a lot to offer apart from diving. Particularly worth mentioning are the Troodos Mountains, the treasures from 11,000 years of cultural history and the unique island cuisine, which has a fascinating wine culture in addition to delicious food.
At the Boot trade fair in Düsseldorf from 21 - 29 January 2023, Cyprus will again be present in cooperation with Taucher.Net and is looking forward to welcoming interested visitors at its stand.
