Palm Beach Divers Koh Lanta Saladan = worst dive shop in SE Asia
Mein eigentlicher Tauchladen auf Koh Lanta - ATlantis musste aus unerfindlichen Gründen schliessen.
Leider. Denn sonst wäre ich nicht in den Laden von Lisa gekommen.
Sie nennt sich Course Director und ist ein Mensch, der jede Stimmung durch Ihre Geldgier zerstört. Wer etwas länger dort ist spürt es sofort.
Mich hat man leider trotz meiner langjährigen Erfahrung abgezockt. Und das auch nur, weil ich im Urlaub keine Lust habe zu streiten - nicht in einem Fremden Land und nicht beim Tauchen.
Ich kann Profis - und U/W Fotografen nur raten einen großen Bogen um den Laden zu machen.
MINUS MINUS Negativ - Geldgier pur.
Für mich der schlechteste Laden in ganz Süd-Ost Asien.
Wirklich schade, dass Atlantis zu gemacht wurde.
´My´ diveshop Atlantis wasn´t operating anymore for some reason I don´t understand.
Since I had only a few days left and I was keen of getting to explore the Andaman Sea once again I chose the diveshop at the place where I stayed.
I was not aware that I stepped into diveshop with this kind of owner.
I arranged beforehand a package deal with entry into the national parks and surcharge for a third dive on one day - before - I went diving. I explained that I had quite some experience in these waters here and will stay within reach and close enough at any time. Visibilty was like 30 meters plus. Definetely at the safety stop I wanted to extend my dive and buddy up with someone else if available.
Since I was on vacation I brought my u/w camera along and pointed out that I was willing to take many nice pics of sepcial creatures if I found one.
Note: there was another camera diver on board.
So I was NOT buddied up with him and had to join a group of other divers and was automatically always lacking behind.
On the last day I was asked to surface during one dive and I asked to saty with another buddy around at the safety stop I made the appropriate signs and continued. Since I had still plenty of air left and another buddy available I have seen no need to surface.
Once surfaced I was not allowed to go down that day again. My diveguide told me I did disobey his rules and he will not allow that i go down again.
At the base I asked to pay the balance minus the dive I was not allowed to go for.
My only natural request was denied: ´ since you disobey the rules you have to pay for the dive as a punishment´.
I have been diving for more than 15 years and made some 900 dives in the last 5 years- i have never encountered such a behaviour.
I was faced with rude statements and lies. ´ I never paid the surcharges and extra dive - I should be happy and leave.....´
I never encountered such an owner in any diveshop.
I have been diving all around the world and have many nice and positive feedback and have good remarks from my students beeing polite , relaxed and full of patience. My regular buddies want to go diving with me any time.
I do not want to sound arrogant. But I know my skills and abilities.
Never again with Palm beach diver.
What some of the working diveguides told me about the owner Lisa is horrible ´ Either they write something positive about her ( she is a course director(!) or they had to leave.
This is really not PADI alike - but as I said: she is only really ONLY keen on money.
That shop might be ok with beginners, but definetely not with more experienced divers with u/w cameras.
Very disappointing !
