The dive shop is fine, the equipment is fine, the staff is fine and the two main guides, Tamer and Ümit do a great job! Max. dive depths and time are fine (30 m-60 min.) but I miss a "shop" for small gadgets like a new logbook or so. Boat crew is good, they treat the boat like it´s their baby!
The House reef is nice for one, two dives. There are several lionfish right at the pier! The night dive is so so, since it´s a wall dive (the house reef) with few corals, crabs etc. But do not miss it! It a good experience! (we saw a beautiful spanish dancer by the way).
Snorkeling at the house reef is fun, but go with buddy!
The Local trips are excelent for beginners, snorkelers, courses etc. Very pretty reefs with shallow depths, lots of corals and colorfull fish. Very nice.
Strasse von Tiran is good, but often with currents, and you do have to kick. Corals are very nice and there´s some impressive walls to be found.
Ras Mohammed is gorgeous! Tons of corals!
The trips take a bit too long (07.30-16.00 hours) for just two dives. Since I am a active diver, it should be either three dives or back at the resort at 13.00 o´clock... I recommend:
07.30-13.00 hours: 2 dives (beginners, courses, snorkeling etc)
07.30-16.00 hours: 3 dives
For the check dive I recommend either smaller groups or two Instructors. The problem is that the house reef is a wall. If you haven´t been diving for a while you might need some help in the beginning... 6 maximum maybe?
Prices are a bit high, maybe because the dive shop is owned by the hotel. I miss something like a "non limit" 1 or 2 weeks diving package.
