Excellent Dive Centre.
Everything is mostly handled by the local employees who are great from the support staff to the Divemasters/Guides.
Your first dive is a short minibus trip. Shore dive (15mins or so drive) where they will check your lead (Blei) and some basic safety checks (mask clearance/regulator retrieval).
The predive briefings are excellent, clear, informative.
My first dive (shore/safety check) was with Aladin
Other 2 dives were just local reef with Islam. Both were excellent. Aladin even brought a white board with us in the minibus to describe the whole dive site.
Both of them must have bionic eyes as they seem to spot everything and went to great lengths to ensure everybody saw what they spotted.
The support staff are great. Whenever you are getting ready will help you with getting BCD on and general checks (straps/Octopus/Fini stowage) and at the end of the dive even remove the tank from your BCD whilst your still wearing your BCD to help you more easily get out (e.g House reef steps).
House reef diving is very easy as your weight belts and tanks are transported to the end of the jetty meaning you can just walk down with your wetsuit half on and wearing BCD. Same when returning.
If you have more than 25 dives you may dive the house reef unguided.
Nitrox is available.
Everybody gets their own lockable box which you get on registration and it just remains yours until you check out.
There are various minibus trips throughout the week to different places?
Can only comment about the local diving and to be honest you see a lot more snorkelling (Morays close up in less than 2m of water, loads of Lionfish, Pufferfish and couldn´t move more than a few metres before seeing yet another blue-spotted Ray). Very much liked the sheer reef wall on the sea side of the house reef. The water on the sea side of the reef is about 22m deep to a sandy bottom.
In addition if staying at Three Corners Fayrouz Plaza you can walk down to Marsa Mabarak beach (15mins. South) for a bit of snorkelling which has a small beach side reef (more Lionfish, ´Nemos´ and Morays) but more important a large sandy sea grass area home to loads of Turtles. We also regularly saw the Dugong feeding on the sea grass in only 4m of water. Always around 17:00 - 1800
Also seen it in the Lagoon by the housereef just after we completed a morning house reef dive.
Boat trips (Snorkelling trips) from other resorts normally out of Port Ghalib and some dive boats also come to this bay but most have returned to Port Ghalib well before 5pm.
At our last encounter with the Dugong there was a dive boat in the bay and once the divers realised why we were all swimming out to sea they jumped into RIBs to try to get a glimpse of the Dugong.
All in all excellent place to stay. Hotel, Dive Centre, House Reef ( with its sea-side and safe Lagoon side), Marsa Mabarak ´Turtle Bay´ all excellent, no negatives. The Hotel also rates very high on Trip Advisor (deservedly so)
