I discovered Emperor Divers in Internet and decid ...
E-mail asking for general information about their diving, prices and accommodation.
The information was provided very quickly. My questions were answered
in a professional and friendly manner. Nothing appeared too much
trouble for ´Siv´ at Emperor Divers. Due to the fact
that I was given lots of help to organise my diving holiday I decided to
spend 2 weeks in Sharm El Sheikh - diving with Emperor Divers.
The first morning I was collected on time - as promised by Siv.
I was taken to the diving centre (which is only over the road from the
new promenade about about 10mins walk from the jetty). I was introduced
to the staff, shown where I could exchange my diving bag for a box, where
I could rinse and hand my equipment (if I wanted to bring it back each
day), where I could collect my weights etc. Everything appeared very
well organised and everyone was exceptionally helpful.
The girls in the office had everything under control (collection times
at the hotels, minibus transport to the jetty, departure/arrival times
of the boats, list of divers/snorkellers for each boat, who was doing what
the next day, which equipment boxes had to be taken to another boat overnight
for the following days diving, transport back to the hotels). They
had everything planned perfectly which enabled the divers to enjoy their
diving and not have to worry about anything else.
The boats were a nice size, comfortable, equipped with oxygen etc.
All had a sundeck which was lovely for our surface break. The food
offered at lunchtime was very good indeed and there was plenty in the way
of drink. On departure to the first divesite an informative briefing
was given on the boat. I thought this was very good. Many divecentres
just don´t bother.
On arrival at the divesite we were given a briefing on the site (description
of site, pictures, depths, what to see, the role of the divemaster, hand
signals etc etc). Nothing was missed out and although this took 5-10mins
the divers gained a lot of useful information which was most welcome.
After the dive air-in, air out, depth and time were recorded and the
Divemaster personally ensured that all were ´out of the water´
before we left the site.
Emperor Divers offed a variety of dive-sites: The straits of Tiran (Woodhouse/Thomas/Gorden/Jackson
Reefs), Ras Bob, White Knight, Near/Far/Middle Gardens, Sodfa, Tower, Ras
Umm Sid, Temple, Ras Katy, Ras Mohammed ... and of course The Thistlegorm
and Dunraven!
As I mentioned above I stayed at the Tropicana Tivoli. The accommodation
was much nicer than I had expected and was certainly good value for money.
The staff were also very friendly and helpful.
All in all I was very impressed with the service offered by Emperor
Divers. They strive to provide a professional, high quality and friendly
service to their divers/customers - Nothing was too much trouble.
At this point a thanks to Siv and Maria in the office and to Lisbeth,
Ingrid and Steve and all the other Divemasters/Instructors for the super
diving.
I would not hesitate in recommeding Emperor Divers to anyone.. and am
already planning my next holiday in Sharm El Sheikh. Of course, no
other divecentre will be considered. I´m spending my holidays
with Emperor Divers!
See you soon!
