A wonderful week!
We were six friends (four divers, four non-divers) for the first time in Sardinia. The base, dives and the whole experience were great. My girlfriend even decided to do her OWD certification there - a great choice! So we can highly recommend this base!
Team
The team consists of guides and divemasters. All of them are very friendly and enthusiastic about their work and the surrounding area. They were always helpful and took care of everybody, depending on their training. The briefings were complete and professional. We always felt safe.
Dives
The boat dives were stunning. Some of the dives are shallow with a lof of life and big barracuda swarms, others are more deep (32 m) and for more advanced recreational divers. Due to the environment, it's mostly cavern diving. Some of those caverns are huge and one even offers a traverse through the Capo Caccia. It's good to stick close to the buddy there, because it's not open water! We saw a lot of octupus etc. There is also a dive site right in front of the base, where you can also do night dives. Experienced groups can go without a guide. The underwater nightlife is wonderful with octopusses, squid, crabs, muray eels, sleeping baby barracudas and more!
Accommodation
We got picked up by the Dive Center Bus at the airport by very friendly staff. The six-person apartment was simple, but clean and most importantly: with air-conditioning. We had a nice terrasse, a well functioning kitchen.
Dive Store
The store is well equipped and offers everything you need for recreational diving. Masks, fins, bags, etc. So even if you forget something at home, you can buy it there for a reasonable price.
Food
It's possible to book lunch with the team. The food is very good and we never had any reason to complain! Highly recommended. We rented a car to go shopping for breakfast and dinner, but it's not actually needed. There's also a bus in walking distance, which can bring you to the next village where you can buy food. Also, there are some restaurants in the vicinity. One or two in walking (20 minutes) distance and many more in driving distance (<10 minutes).
