Two Days of Hands-On Training in Neckarsulm
On October 10 and 11, 2026, the Association of German Diving Instructors (VDTL - Verband Deutscher Tauchlehrer) will host this year’s diving training and rescue seminar in Neckarsulm. Over the course of two days, participants can expect up-to-date technical presentations, hands-on workshops, and realistic rescue scenarios -all aimed at further improving safety both underwater and on land.
Target Audience and Program
The seminar is aimed at both diving instructors and dedicated recreational divers who wish to refresh their knowledge, deepen their skills, and bring their expertise up to date. The VDTL, founded in 1973 and Germany’s oldest professional diving instructor association, is a member of CMAS Germany and the German Sports Instructors Association (DSLV).
In the medical seminar, Dr. Daniela Koonen, MD, the VDTL’s association physician, shares up-to-date medical knowledge for divers -presented in an accessible manner and immediately applicable in practice. Another program component is dedicated to full-face masks: the focus is on technique, handling, and communication to ensure safe use in various situations.
The O2 Service and Rescue Management section covers the proper handling and maintenance of oxygen systems, as well as structured procedures for emergency response. In collaboration with Kallweit, the seminar also includes rescue drills from a dry suit based on realistic scenarios, with an emphasis on professional procedures and teamwork. Each topic block is accompanied by practical workshops where participants can directly apply and practice the theoretical content.
