Stefan's scuba collection is growing
There are only about 8 to 9 vaquitas left – making them the most endangered marine mammals in the world and critically threatened with extinction. Stefan's volunteer work (since 1995) for the species conservation organisation YAQU PACHA gave rise to the idea of modelling a vaquita and adding it to his scuba collection.
As there are no underwater photographs of vaquitas, working on this model was particularly time-consuming and challenging. In the course of his work, Stefan consulted with scientists in order to get as close as possible to the natural shape of this fascinating animal.
The vaquita was created over a period of more than two months. Like all his jewellery, Stefan crafts everything by hand from solid 925 silver in his own workshop.

To mark the 30th anniversary of Stefan's scuba collection, there are more new models this year than there have been for a long time.
