Diving and sailing on a catamaran along the coast of Croatia
Experience the exciting world of underwater archaeology on a sailing tour, that's the plan of the sailing divers from Rüsselsheim who will realise their great idea with the well-known underwater archaeologist Florian Huber. And you can be part of it. The sailing will be done with two catamarans of the type Lagoon 42 or Helia 44.
During a trip along the Croatian coast, Dr. Florian Huber (known from the popular TV series TerraX, among others) will tell you all about the sunken treasures in our oceans. Participants will also learn how to preserve them for later generations.
The courses UWA I and UWA II are offered during the combined sailing and diving trip along the Croatian coast. The dives and practical exercises that are part of the course will take place on the wrecks of Pula, Trieste, Pag and Zadar. The theory includes the modules conservation methods, remote exploration methods (sonar and others), preparation of find sketches as well as 3D modelling, photo and video documentation and suggestions for equipment configuration. The UWA I and UWA II courses are also recognised VDST Brevets. All participants receive the corresponding official VDST brevet after the end of the course.
Diving and Sailing along the Croatian Coast
With two catamarans of the type Lagoon 42 or Helia 44 you will sail along the coast of Croatia. Each boat offers space for 8 people and is equipped with everything your heart desires. On the tour there is the possibility to visit different interesting cities: e.g. Trieste, Pula and Zadar. During the trips you will of course enjoy the sun and have a lot of fun.
The trip starts on 08 October and ends on 22 October. The starting and ending point of the combined diving and sailing trip is the Croatian port city of Pula. 2) Fountaine Pajot Helia 44
13,25m length, 7,40m beam, 4 double cabins, 4 bathrooms, 2 engines with 40hp each
