Please discontinue use of the Hollis 200LX Second Stage Regulator
If you are using a Hollis 200LX second stage regulator (whether solo, with DCX Yoke/DIN, or as an octopus), please take note: Manufacturer Huish Outdoors has issued a “Stop Use / Stop Sale” warning. The reason for this is reports of internal components coming loose or breaking in the 200LX – in the worst case, this could cause the second stage to “fail.”
Hollis writes: “Although no incidents have been reported during active diving, this condition could pose a drowning hazard if it occurs during use. As a precautionary measure, we are issuing this use interruption notice while we complete our technical review and prepare a corrective action.”
The warning only applies to the Hollis 200LX (second stage) purchased between May 2017 and February 2026. Please do not continue to dive with it, but go to your nearest dealer or contact Hollis/Huish directly for information on retrofitting/repair.
