Malta gives 100-Euro-vouchers to scuba diving tourists

The islands of Malta, Gozo and Comino are a popular diving destination for many divers: clear water, mild temperatures and a short and cheap journey attract countless tourists to the Mediterranean island every year.

Professionals, vacation divers and, of course, novice divers enjoy the diverse flora and fauna, intact reefs, dark caves and a wide variety of shipwrecks at all depths every year.

Tourists are to be welcomed back to Malta from June. A financial package for the tourism sector worth around 20 million euros is to help.

New Tourism Minister Clayton Bartolo spoke about Malta's recovery plan at a press conference yesterday. A plan that envisages vaccinated tourists being able to travel Malta unhindered with a digital green passport as proof of vaccination. Non-vaccinated tourists can then present a negative PCR test for entry, as before. Further information - see here.
