Changes in Lake Constance zooplankton

On 21 November 2024, from 17:00 to 18:00, PD Dr Dietmar Straile from the Limnological Institute of the University of Konstanz will give a lecture on ‘Changes in Lake Constance zooplankton during the last century’.

Over the last century, the environmental conditions in Lake Constance have changed considerably due to eutrophication, oligotrophication, global warming and the immigration of new species.

Dietmar Straile will shed light on the effects of these changes on the zooplankton of Lake Constance and discuss how the species composition and seasonal occurrence of species have changed and what adaptations individual species have shown to these changes.
