Jared Hires

He was a well-known figure in the world of technical and cave diving and established himself early in this demanding discipline. His first experience of diving was at the tender age of 5, when he was introduced to the wonders of the underwater world using his father's regulator. It was a fascination that laid the foundation for a life dedicated to immersing himself in the element of water.

By the age of 15, Jared had already made significant progress in his diving career and was the youngest certified rebreather diver. This early exposure to advanced diving techniques and equipment fuelled his passion and led to him receiving both CCR (Closed Circuit Rebreather) and cave training at this age. Such achievements at such an early age emphasised Jared's exceptional talent and tireless commitment to pushing the boundaries of what is possible in technical diving.

In his role as General Manager of Dive Rite, Jared has made a significant impact on the technical and cave diving community. Under his leadership, Dive Rite, a company celebrated for its pioneering spirit and commitment to quality, has remained at the forefront of innovation in the industry.

During his illustrious career, Jared's contributions to the industry went far beyond the realm of product development and management. He was an educator and advocate for the safe practice of technical and cave diving, passing on his knowledge and experience to inspire and inform others. His legacy is one of passion, innovation and a tireless commitment to the advancement of the sport he loved so much.

Our deepest sympathies go out to his family and we mourn the loss of a great person and diver. Rest in peace, Jared.
