Cave Explorations, Playa del Carmen

My girlfriend and I have recently finished a fantastic three weeks holiday at the Riveria Maya. The first week I did the full trimix course on the reef using Harry Gust as my instructor (see http://www.technicaldiving.us/ ). Harry is an excellent instructor; I had a very enjoyable and learning experience on the reef. The following week I continued cave diving together with Harry. The guy really has some aces up his sleeve, it is by far the best cave diving week I have ever had! Finally my girlfriend got curios to find out why Harry and I always had those huge grins all over our face when exiting the caves. So she signed up for the intermediate cave course with Harry and he fixed me up with another dive buddy. Learning how to dive with the new equipment turned out to be tougher than she expected and she only reached the cavern level. However she loved every minute of it and has already made plans for us to come back next year! Besides being a dive guide and instructor, Harry also arranged for a good and cheap hotel in central Playa del Carmen and for transport to the airport. Logistics always runs very smooth - the man speaks Spanish, English and German fluently. And of course he also knows the best places to get a cup of coffee or a beer after a good long day in the water.

Harry
