A great dive centre with great people...
Once I promised myself not to visit one place twice, since there are just too many great countries and regions to travel to on this planet. Well, today I have to say that we´ll be on Gozo/Malta in 2013 for the 4th time, the 4th year in a row.
Looking for a dive trip not too far away, at best within Europe, we happened to read about Gozo. We happened to read about the Calypso Diving Centre and the owner George and quickly decided to book our travel with them. It was as easy as they said on their website - we just gave them our flight details and they arranged the rest - transfers, accommodation, car rental, diving - and it all worked out perfectly! The Diving Centre is very well organized and rental gear is in very good condition. It is well deserved that you get only top ratings here!
Diving on Gozo is suitable for all levels and Calypso offers both accompanied and unaccompanied diving depending on dive experience. Dive sites are usually reached by truck or RIB (one of them the famous IKEA boat!). The Gozitan underwater scenery is spectacular with it´s numerous arches, caves, swim-throughs, clear blue water and its great diversity of marine life! It never gets boring! And although we could go without a guide, we prefer to dive with one the experienced Calypso guides - their company is a major part of our holiday fun! You also shouldn´t miss the experience of riding in one the great Calypso trucks!
On Gozo you meet a lot of people who have been coming back for years and years and years - and apparently we´re becoming one of them! By now it feels more like visiting good old friends! The team at Calypso is just special - but you´ll have to go there and find it out yourself!
