"Highlight of the Year"

Stellungnahme des Cruise Directors am Ende des Originalberichts.

Tauchsafari vom 27.11.2017 bis 06.12.2017,
Oman mit der Saman Explorer, Extra Divers
Titel der Tour "Highlight of the Year" Transfer Trip von Muskat bis Mirbat.

Thank you very much for your reviews, I would just like to add a couple of explaining comments.
I am sorry to hear this complaint, I wish you would have come forward with the disappointing issues on the trip, then we could have done something.

The viz we have no power over, and yes we were not so lucky with seing big stuff, I agree with this, but this is the ocean not the zoo.

I am very supriced to hear this, because we axtually always get very positive coments about the food, both verbally and in the guests coment sheets.
Anyway we could easily have done different, if we had been informed. Also the "the plates stayed empty" comment I don't fully understand as it is a buffet.
For desert we sometimes serve pudding, so not only fruit. However we will add ice-cream for the future.

About the one day we had two dives, Yes it is true that where we normally anchor up was , according to the weather forecast, going to be rough, and the protected area was not legal for us to enter, so we made the decision together with you guests on the boat to sail the whole night to , possibly get out of the bad viz by the next day.As you described this worked out ok. Also we offered additional night dives because we cancelled this dive . When this plan was presented on the boat no one had any objections.

About
safety. It is correct don't have a return to boat sheet, we simply count the tanks, its the simplest way and bullet proof. If the tanks are back in the rack, so must the divers be. Someone did a 1,5 hour dive, In our briefings we always say the dive time, sometimes if we are on the anchor, last dive of the day and the guests inform us we don't have a problem with them staying longer, everybody has a computer and we don't tolerate deco. If guests did a dive of 90 minutes without informing us or if it was in contradiction with the outlines in the briefing, this must fall back on the divers.

We don't have a nitrox book that's correct, we always make 30%, and the guests analyze before every dive. There is no possibility to exchange or confuse tanks as the bcd is always mounted on the tank. To write it in a book is actually to cover our end not the guests. We give always a maxdepth in the briefing , and Nitrox certified divers should know their MOD according to the partial pressure they set their computer to. So again if the briefing and standards for diving is respected and followed there is no problem. Anyway the MOD for nitrox 31 is deeper than our deepest divesite anyway. In the Nitrox student book it states: "The provider will most likely have you complete and sign a fill station log". We don't see the need for this according to the reasons mentioned above. For the guests its less hassle before the dive. No one had any issues with this procedure the last five years.

Thanks for the kind word about the whale shark, the Bengali staff (I agree they are spot on) and for the kind words about the last day on the boat.
