The event will focus on how advanced digitalisation technologies can mitigate the negative impact of human activities on our oceans, in addition to helping to preserve the associated cultural heritage.

The conference will feature high-level speakers from the European Commission, UNESCO, Heritage Malta's Digitisation and Underwater Cultural Heritage Department and experts from various European countries. They will present case studies and best practices related to the 3D digitisation of maritime cultural heritage. The event is organised under the auspices of the European Commission's TwinIt! initiative and is funded by the Malta-Norway Bilateral Fund.

Due to high demand, tickets for the Malta Maritime Museum are already fully booked. However, the conference will be streamed online for registered guests so that experts, stakeholders and all "Friends of the Seas" worldwide can participate in the discussions on innovative 3D digital solutions for the documentation and interpretation of maritime heritage.

The conference comprises six sessions, each starting at 9:00 am and ending at 5:15 pm. They will provide a platform for a variety of speakers to share new insights and expert knowledge.
