My girlfriend and I decided to do an Open Water dive course during our two weeks stay in the Dominican Republic. As suggested by our travel agent we did this at the Merlin dive school in Sushua. Even if it was always a 40 minutes drive from the location of our hotel, (the journey always got organised by the school) it was worth choosing this school. The guys did a very professional job and I am convinced that my girlfriend, who panicked occasionally, couldn´t have completed the training without the calm support of our very friendly masters. In all situations they reacted quietly and responsible and we had at no time the feeling to be left alone. In the end, my girlfriend (me too, of course) was very proud of having completed the course because already in the pool she doubted that she ever could dive down in open water. Thank you Christian, Franz, Jose, Jürgen and co. to made this happen! It was a pleasure - not just under water.
